Pennsylvania Academic Standards: Science 3.3.4 A After eating a tasty Jack Rabbit Salad, ask yourself this question: "How much do I know about vegetables?" Botanists divide vegetables into EIGHT categories. Before checking out the list, see if you can name some of the categories. The categories are: leaf, stem, root, tuber, flower and bud, seed and seedpod, fruit-vegetable, and fungi. See if you can identify the following vegetables according to the part of the plant we eat.
