Have you ever heard the saying "Strive for Five" or "Five a Day the Colorful Way"?

Why do you think it is important to eat a colorful variety of fruits and vegetables? Because colorful fruits and vegetables provide your body with the wide range of vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytochemicals needed to keep you healthy. Did you know it is recommended that you eat at least FIVE servings of vegetables and fruit every day? Did you also know that there are five color categories that most fruits and vegetables can be placed into? See if you can guess the five color categories and then try to name five fruits or vegetables that belong in each group. After all of that there is one last thing to do, give yourself a big high five!

Here are the categories with a few examples of each group:
